Christel Caputo of the Steven McCarty Agency offers defensive driving and boating safety courses through the New York State DMV recognized Empire Safety Council (www.empiresafetycouncil.com).
Empire Safety Council's (ESC) extensive research sets it apart from all other sponsor's and documents both a reduction in vehicle accidents and traffic citations for the highest overall effective rate in driver safety education. ESC has in fact, demonstrated up to 18.2% reduction for traffic accidents and 57.3% reduction in repeat traffic offenses. As an approved sponsor ESC's defensive driving course is recognized by all New York State Insurance Companies.
Benefits for the Individual Driver:
By Law, New York drivers who take and complete a six hour defensive driving course (DDC):
save 10% on all their vehicle liability, collision, and personal injury protection (PIP) insurance premiums for THREE YEARS
may reduce up to FOUR POINTS on their driving record, every 18 months.

As an official DDC Sponsor, ESC has demonstrated to the satisfaction of the division of motor vehicle services that completion of its DDC course results in both reducing accidents and a reduction in repeat traffic offences.
